UNI EN ISO 20345:2011

Work footwear identified by the "S" marking as Safety Footwear. The so-called "basic" shoe is marked with the letters "SB" (S = Safety, B = Basic).

UNI EN ISO 20346:2011

Work footwear called "Protective Footwear."
They differ from Safety Footwear in the following ways:
• Protective toe cap against impacts with energy of 100 J.
• "P" marking (from protective).

UNI EN ISO 20347:2012

Work footwear called "Work Footwear" or "Professional".
They differ due to the lack of a protective toecap and are marked with the letter "O" (from occupational) and are therefore identified as "O1" - "O2" - "O3".
Resistance to hydrocarbons "FO" (not mandatory) must
be indicated on the marking if present.

UNI EN ISO 20345:2022

The new EN ISO 20345:2022 standard relating to PPE "safety footwear" has been published and will be harmonised by Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
Footwear certified according to EN ISO 20345:2011 may continue to be placed on the market even after the introduction of the new standard, until the natural expiry date of the certificate
