This solid dustpan is very easy to use with one hand while the other holds a broom. Emptying it is as easy as using it: the lid can be locked into position by pressing the handle backwards until you hear a click. Unlock it by pulling forward. The recess where the lid locks can also be used as a grip if heavy debris needs to be emptied. When in use, the edge of the dustpan is designed to seal tightly to the floor to prevent debris from slipping under the dustpan, even if it is placed near a wall. The interlocking brush system and the narrow, vertical design make storage a breeze, as the entire system can stand on its own, with the broom tucked into the dustpan.
