Surface grinder for industrial blades

The FX 20 grinding machine model can be supplied with grinding lengths varying from 1500 mm to 7100 mm and beyond for special versions. This grinding machine model features a Siemens PLC (CNC machine) that controls the grinding wheel's descent and the carriage's movement during the various stages of the work cycle.

This grinding machine is characterized by the high power of the grinding wheel motor which allows blade manufacturers to build and sharpen knives and plates of considerable size.

  • Fixed electro-permanent magnetic chuck (width 150 mm);
  • Grinding wheel motor 15 kW (20 HP);
  • Segment holder ring Ø200 mm;
  • Quick grinding wheel change;
  • Siemens PLC;
  • Manual lubrication of carriage slides
  • Variable carriage speed from 1 to 30 m/min with electromechanical reversal and the possibility to select the longitudinal stroke;
  • Automatic grinding wheel increment with programming of total and partial descent via a digital programmer (touch screen PLC);
  • Programmable work phases: roughing, finishing and spark-out;
  • Controls for rapid grinding wheel descent and ascent and slow descent;
  • Grinding wheel axis adjustable from 0° to 3° longitudinally to the magnetic chuck;
  • Coolant collection tank external to the base, equipped with an electric pump with a flow rate of 140 l/min.
